America, it's time to get back to God now

I read in the Bible it tells us all how.

We must repent from our wicked ways

And we must do it soon there's not many more days.

When I'm pushed beyond my limits and this happens in my day.

I know that's when I should stop, take a few minutes and pray,

God, you listen to my heart. Please Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others still.

I went to an auction today and watch as people bid

On a variety of household items some didn't win but some others did.

I saw how the winners looked so happy and glad when they won

But I realized that their temporary ownership had just begun.

Some things that are happening today seem impossible to me.

Things are sure different now, you people over 50 will agree

There are things that are despicable to many of us in this generation

Things that we all know are wrong and should not be happening in this nation.

When I watch old re-runs on TV

It makes me remember how life used to be

The good guys always wore a white hat

and it was rare to see a child acting like a brat

How many times should I forgive?

I think all of us should know to really live

The answer is in the bible, so it's there we will look

After all we can relay on the word of God, in the book.

Some people use God as their spare tire, I hope that's not you.

They live their life without acknowledging Him as their Lord , it's true.

But when a crisis hit's, a tire goes flat, they open the trunk so to speak

They look for the spare tire, turning now to God, His much needed help they seek.

God placed us here for a reason

It might be a lifetime or just a season

But you are needed to complete His plan

A plan He designed before your life began

If you're living on a shoestring

Like so many people are

Trying to figure out which bill to pay

the house, the phone or the car.

I must be a real challenge to God

Even in my own family they think I'm odd

I determine every morning to be a better man

And I know that with Jesus help it's "Yes I can".

Friends and Poem Partners that are true believes in God

You can position yourself for a miracle,really that's not odd

When you obey His commands and do His will

He will open the windows of heaven for you how's that for a thrill?

Let's increase the population of heaven by including you

So you can be assured that when your life on earth is through

That your eternal life will be full of joy, peace, happiness and fun

Being with the saints of old and enjoying worshiping God's son.

I have something to give you today that's free

It's already totally paid for, it's for you and me

It was offered by someone that really loves you

And the price He paid was so very great too

Believe it or not I'm not a perfect man

God knew me before my life began

My wife, after our marriage, found this out

And she will agree that I wasn't perfect, without a doubt.

Today, I want to make God smile,

I really want to do this daily, not just once in a while.

I know he wants me to be loving, generous and kind

and do good things for others and leave self behind.
