I went to an auction today and watch as people bid
On a variety of household items some didn't win but some others did.
I saw how the winners looked so happy and glad when they won
But I realized that their temporary ownership had just begun.
You see everything we have is only loaned to us here.
And some of your most precious possessions that you hold so dear.
Will someday belong to some one else maybe a relative, friend or foe
But your concern won't be about things and stuff when it's off to heaven you go.
Unfortunately, this destination will only be for those that accepted Jesus as their Lord
Millions of others chose the other destination, Hell, even though they were adored
By Jesus, who many times tried to get them to become part of His family clan
But they refused and listened to the wrong voices, just like Adam and Eve when life began
Stuff and things means so little to me now that I'm living my life alone
My wife that shared my life and treasures is now in a nursing home
I'm looking forward to Heaven now that my life on earth will someday end
And I can spend eternity with Jesus in paradise on that I can depend.
