This is something I learned and I hope I can teach
Fame, things and stuff are not what's life's all about
Sometimes I get so frustrated at people I want to shout.
Many people think "If I just had the latest thing"
That would make me happy, a house, a car, or even a fling
But all those things won't bring true happiness for you
As a senior I can tell you I've tried many things too
When you get frustrated and those things you wanted are now old
I'll tell you the true source of happiness if I may be so bold.
It's not some new toy or other thing that you thought you couldn't live without
It's a relationship with Jesus Christ that will satisfy without a doubt.
Life on this earth is relatively short even if it's a hundred years
This life is just a testing ground full of happiness and tears
Keep your life as simple as possible this is always the best
So manycomplicate their life with stuff and things and fail this test.
Yes we are tested each and every day with how we live our life each day
Did we thank the Lord for all his blessings, were we kind, did we pray?
As you journey through life it seems every day there are challenges to face
If you take time with Jesus to seek His will slow down and get out of the race
