I treated it in a very different way
I treated it as a baptism just for me
Very strange idea, and I agree.
But as I was showering the Lord spoke to me
He told me to do it this way and please agree
To consider that my sins were washed away
In a very different and unusual way.
Oh, I know I'll get flack from many for this
And all I can say is do as you wish
But when the Lord tells me to do something odd
I want to, like saints of old, obey God
Why did this happen to me, I don't know
Maybe it was just a test of my faith to show
That I was willing to do something I didn't understand
No, it was only a suggestion and not a demand.
