I just came from an auction today,
Was watching all the treasures being sold away.
Treasures that took a lifetime to save,
Gone in a moment at the auctioneer’s wave.

It made me realize that all we have is on loan.
Some would say, “If I had only known,
That all I worked for, for so many years,
Could be gone so quickly.” This brings them to tears.

We need to build our treasures in heaven each day.
Those treasures won't rust, be stolen or just go away.
We have the assurance that they’ll always be safe there.
So, we can send our treasures ahead and never care.

They will be there for all God's chosen — we know.
How can we be certain? Because the bible tells us so.
We can enjoy our treasures in heaven for evermore.
How many will that be? Don't worry, God keeps score.
