Today I'm remembering my friends throughout the years

Thinking back, it's memories with laughter, joy and tears.

Where have they gone? Where are now? At my age I know.

Many went to heaven, some are still here and some down below.

Life seems so short when you're in your prime.

Now as a senior citizen, this prime is no longer mine.

However, with age comes other benefits we can enjoy now.

Joining with other seniors at their functions let's us know how.

It seems the benefits are increasing for the seniors today.

Extra discounts and perks where you work, play and stay.

Things were different when we were all in our prime.

Now, I'll enjoy my golden years, I earned them, they're mine.

When you see me on the street, maybe not walking as fast as you.

Remember that someday, could be soon, you'll be a senior too.

God has special angels for seniors, they help us everyday.

We, however, sometimes don't realize this or listen to what they say.
