Today’s poem is all about showing honor and respect to others.

In the family of God we are all sisters and brothers.

So many today criticize and find fault with whatever you and I do.

I’m sure you’ve had people say nasty and critical remarks about you too.

 

God wants us to honor people in this life and be kind.

If you have a critic spirit, I’m asking you to leave it behind.

Be good to people, in this world, there is so much sarcasm today.

Just be very careful  and don't speak negative, nasty words in any way.

 

A momentary remark, a nasty word, can be something to get a fire started.

You can say something you’ll  later regret even after you’ve parted.

That uncomplimentary word you spoke, will get back to that person somehow.

This is a message to all of us speak kindly with your words here and now.

 

People long to hear you say something complementary and kind about them,

You know how you felt when someone complimented you,and maybe even when?

As a child of God we should be always be on the lookout to build someone up today.

Saying and doing nice things for others is God’s way. Also compliment God as you pray.
