As I watched Dr. Tony Evans on TV today.

I must admit I agree with what he had to say.

When the name of Jesus and God they despise.

When a nation forgets about God it’s their demise.

First, I want to thank all of my Poem Partners including you.

I know Jesus wants to be very proud of what you do

So today we can all make the Lord smile.

For some of you, I’m sure, haven’t done this for a while.

Everyday we have a chance to go either way.

We can listen to Satan and what the world has to say

Or we can study our bible, fellowship with Jesus

And listen to what Jesus wants to teach today

Now that I am alone in life

now that I recently lost my wife.

I can, however, rejoice in this fact today

That Jesus will never leave me, He is here to stay

If you’ve ever experienced the loss of a love one

You can understand why my heartache has begun.

We get so accustomed to having our partner around

When they are no longer here we listen for their sound
